Album reviews, interviews, live show coverage, acoustic sessions, news on music. If you are a musician, we want to hear from you! Although we focus on local musicians, we love to interview and connect with anyone from around the globe.

Carlos Cisneros (@bayareanative)
Carlos was born in Palo Alto, grew up in San Mateo and then moved to Hayward his freshman year in high school. Since then he has lived in Fremont and recently relocated to the South Berkeley/North Oakland border. After having an article published in Hayward’s The Daily Review and writing for The Bay Bridged, he set out to assemble a talented team and create a group of online publications that would offer readers exclusive content on music, art and tech. So The Bay Area Native was founded and born.

Brittany Coleman (@brittanycBAN)
Born in Hayward, California and raised in San Jose, California, Brittany has had many opportunities to explore the Bay Area’s artistic scenes. Her favorite genres include indie, folk, electro and alternative punk. Brittany holds a B.S. degree in Journalism and a minor in Photography, which makes her the perfect person for writing and editing site content. Having written for companies such as Patch.com and the San Jose Repertory Theatre, freelance writing is where her heart is. Brittany’s most favorite past time is going to free shows by local unknowns and hearing their raw talent before they make it big.
